After releasing its open-source web browser in 2019, Brave Software is expanding its secure internet experience with a search engine. The Google alternative is keeping up with the company’s dedication to privacy with an anti-tracking system that puts the users in control. It won’t keep tabs of searches or clicks, and it uses its own independent index for searches, meaning no algorithms and bias results. Brave Search has already been tested by thousands of users and is currently in global beta. The company plans to make it the browser’s default search engine later this year.
