When I first moved in parking was marketed as an amenity here at this complex. “Parking is easy here! ” They say. And it was. One covered spot per apartment and the others are first come first serve. 10 months in my 12-month contract they want to charge for a second spot I’m using. My significant other comes over a few days a week. She always had a spot and now they are making me sign her on my lease to even have a spot for her to park in. (only residents can park here now) Then they are charging me and the rest of the complex 25+ for every extra spot. Is this legal in California to make a change like this while we are still under the lease?
