I got braces before starting college several states away and my inconsistency has made it go on a lot longer than I should've.
I want to get them removed and start over when I can actually go to appointments consistently.
My father says it would be better to instead fly home once a month for appointments.
On the one hand, it might be cheaper than spending thousands of dollars on new braces or invisalign, but much more inconvenient.
I'm forced to fly back in the middle of the week and miss class – and possibly work – for two or three days for the sake of a single appointment once a month, if not more frequently than that
From a money standpoint, it might be better, but I hate the very idea of that.
Would the few thousand dollars saved be worth it all? Or should I just try doing what I think wouldn't be as cumbersome?
