Great Lakes Lacquer – My Lavendear
My Lavendear can be described as a pale lavender filled with an orange to gold to green shifting iridescent flake with a soft scattered holographic. The shade was created based on a request for a pastel lavender to match Bubblegum (FTLOP Box) and Curse You, Perry The Platypus. Let me tell you how absolutely floored I am by how much I love this polish on me. Like that is such a rare thing when it comes to lavenders against my skin complexion. Usually I’d feel like the color brings out to much warmth and makes me feel like a lobster. Not here, not today! This is giving my skin such a beautiful glow that you can’t even tell I’ve been stuck indoors for months, haha. That said though, the color to flakie combination in this is just *chef kiss*. It really gives off that vibe of like an enclosed crystal. The pops of orange to gold shifts create such a mesmerizing sparkle. Aces all around on this and as a limited edition shade I have to say it’s a must buy.
The formula has a sheer application with a very good buildup for complete coverage. It has a very well-balanced consistency, not too thick or too thin. Each and every brush stroke is jam-packed with flakies. There was no clumping throughout the layering process and it felt like the flakies were evenly coating the nail. It dries down to a minimal gritty finish that smooth out perfectly after top coat. Shown here is two to three coats and sealed off with a glossy top coat.
