During Kim Kardashian’s most recent interview, she has shared a great deal.
She consulted with Kourtney and with therapists before introducing her kids to Pete Davidson.
But how did Kim herself break the ice with Pete in the first place?
It turns out that she was pretty cautious for a MILF on the prowl for some BDE.
Kim Kardashian gave an interview this week with the Today show.
When asked about how she first made contact with Pete Davidson, the answer was a bit of a surprise.
Things sort of began before she appeared on Saturday Night Live.
“I ran into him a little bit before [hosting Saturday Night Live] at the Met,” Kim recalled.
“He gave me really good advice,” she shared.
Pete had spoken to her “knowing I was gonna be on it.”
“So, I just reached out,” Kim described.
“And,” she detailed, she “said, ‘Thank you so much for that advice, it was so much fun.’”
Kim’s intention was simple: “Just something [casual], leaving it open.”
The mother of four also acknowledged that it is “so not me” to reach out to Pete first.
Still, she was the one who pursued him.
Kim found that her instant connection with Pete took her “by surprise.”
It’s not like dating again happened overnight. She was ready.
Kim reminded the world that she had already waited “a good 10 months” after breaking up with Kanye.
“I waited a while,” she recalled.
Kim admitted that she was looking for “new energy and something different.”
That is exactly what she found when Pete walked into her life. He’s young, he’s funny, and widely desired.
Kim and Pete became “linked” in the public eye only a short time after Kim hosted SNL.
During her interview, Kim also shared that she did not rush to introduce Pete to her family, especially her children.
(In fact, she avoided filming The Kardashians with Pete, in case they split and those scenes didn’t age well)
Kim consulted with Kourtney and with “a few therapists” before she finally let Pete meet her kids.
“I definitely wanted to wait six months,” Kim then explained, “and that was the marker.”
She acknowledged: “It’s different for everyone, and different things work for different people.”
Kim expressed: “But you just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible.”
Of course, Kanye West had already loudly and very publicly declared that Pete would “never” meet his kids.
What set him off? Aside from untreated mental illness, a Hillary Clinton tattoo among Pete’s massive tattoo collection.
Kanye went on to release a stop-motion music video depicting the kidnapping and live burial of Pete. Truly some grim stuff.
