THE WHAT? L’Oréal USA has introduced the recipients of its 2020 For Girls in Science Fellowship. The annual program awards 5 feminine post-doc scientists grants of US$60,000 a head to advance their analysis.
THE DETAILS The 5 embody Cara Brook, whose analysis focuses on understanding wild bats; Wendy Brown a biomedical engineer learning cartilage progress from cells in anatomical sizes and styles; Kayla Nguyen, whose focus is on capturing detailed photographs of atoms to enhance drug supply techniques, amongst different purposes; Nancy Padilla-Coreano, who’s exploring how the mind encodes social dominance; and Silvania da Silva Teixeira who’s investigating novel therapies of late-stage Sort-2 Diabetes.
