Maren Morris and Gabby Barrett are both no longer performing at the 2021 CMT Music Awards.
The two will not be performing as planned at the country music awards show ceremony, they both confirmed on social media on Wednesday (June 9).
“Still thinking back to last year’s CMT Music Awards performance and my very first award win 😍 Such a special moment that I will never forget. I’m really sad to share that because of personal circumstances I won’t be able to perform with @ladya and @carlypearce on Wednesday at the @cmt Music Awards! I’ll be rooting for you guys and all of the incredibly talented nominees and performers! ❣️So appreciate all of your support and will see yall on the road this summer :)” Gabby wrote on Instagram.
“Due to a scheduling conflict, I will not be performing at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday. I know @jpsaxe will slay it and I am so excited for his album to come out soon!” Maren wrote on her Instagram Story.
The two have been replaced in the lineup already, via Billboard: Ingrid Andress will perform with “Line by Line” with JP Saxe, and Lindsey Ell will take Gabby’s place in a performance with Lady A and Carly Pearce.
It is not yet known exactly what the reason is for both artists’ last minute departures from the awards show lineup.
The 2021 CMT Music Awards are scheduled to be held in Nashville, Tennessee tonight (June 9) at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. Find out who is nominated!
