Pride Month is taking Vincint higher.
Vincint first entered the spotlight in 2018 as a finalist on the first season of The Four, Fox’s singing competition series. The artist has since made a name for himself as an unapologetically Black, gay pop singer with powerhouse vocals, releasing dance floor-ready tracks like “Save Myself,” “Be Me” from Netflix’s Queer Eye, and “Higher,” his electric Song of Summer ’21 contender.

This Pride, Vincint is celebrating the release of his long-awaited debut album, There Will Be Tears, out on Friday (June 11). The tracklist features collabs with the likes of Broadway star Alex Newell, ballroom icon Princess Precious, and indie-pop singers extraordinaire Tegan and Sara.
It’s no surprise, then, that Vincint views “self-expression” as the ultimate form of showing his Pride. “Understanding that who you are and how you present yourself to the world is so important and deserves to be loved and cared for… that’s what Pride is to me,” he tells Logo. “And that starts with yourself.”
