A bit of a hit piece from ArsTechnica is a surprise. A bad quarter for Netflix in North America for sure but no sign of recovery seems a bit of an overly negative take. Netflix just announced they will be dipping into gaming and offering it as part of the subscription and then you have the fact that none of their big TV shows aired in the first half of 2021. They have The Witcher, Stranger Things, You, Cobra Kai, Bridgerton, The Crown, Money Heist, Ozark, Umbrella Academy, Lock & Key, Sex Education, Grace and Frankie, Dead to Me, and Russian Doll to come. Having big returning shows always makes a difference. That was all mostly lacking in the first two quarters of 2021!
