Weezer tops Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart for the seventh time – and third in a row – as “A Little Bit of Love” rises to No. 1 on the June 18-dated survey.
“Love” follows the reigns of “Hero” for a week in August 2020 and “All My Favorite Songs” for four frames beginning in July 2021. The three songs mark the group’s first set of back-to-back-to-back leaders on the list.
The band first hit No. 1 with “Beverly Hills” in July 2005.
Weezer moves into a tie with Imagine Dragons for the eighth-most No. 1s in the history of Alternative Airplay, which began in 1988. Red Hot Chili Peppers lead all acts with 14 rulers.

Weezer is the second act in 2022 to notch a third consecutive Alternative Airplay No. 1; twenty one pilots led for three weeks starting in January with “The Outside,” after the pair topped the chart with “Saturday” (five weeks, beginning last September) and “Shy Away” (eight, starting in May 2021).
Concurrently, “Love” ranks at No. 8 on Adult Alternative Airplay, after reaching No. 6 in May, and is bubbling under Mainstream Rock Airplay. On the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, the song bullets at its No. 4 high with 4.3 million audience impressions, according to Luminate.
“Love” also leaps 25-22 and 37-28, respectively, on the multi-metric Hot Alternative Songs and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs charts. In addition to its radio airplay, the song earned 547,000 official U.S. streams in the June 3-9 tracking week.
“Love” is the lead single from SZNZ: Spring, Weezer’s first of four planned EPs themed around different seasons. The effort has earned 12,000 equivalent album units since its March 20 release.
